Freshly poured concrete shed slab with timber formwork in a Central Coast backyard

We pour concrete slabs for sheds, garages, carports, granny flats, extensions and new homes right across the Central Coast. A slab is only as good as what's under it, so we do our own excavation and base prep. That gets the levels and compaction right before any concrete arrives.

Slabs we pour

  • Shed slabs - for Colorbond sheds, workshops and storage, sized to the shed kit.
  • Garage and carport slabs - built for vehicle loads, with the right falls to the door.
  • Granny flat and extension slabs - poured to your engineer's design and your certifier's requirements.
  • House slabs - working with your builder to the engineered plans.
  • Equipment and tank pads - for water tanks, air-con units and hot water systems.

Getting the base right

Coast blocks vary a lot. Sandy ground near the beaches, clay through the valleys and plenty of sloping sites all need different prep. Because we run our own excavation and bobcat work, we can cut, fill and compact the site properly, then set the formwork, vapour barrier and reinforcement before the pour.

Engineering and approvals

Structural slabs for homes, granny flats and extensions are poured to an engineer's design, with inspections before the pour where your certifier needs them. For a shed or carport, check with Central Coast Council or your certifier about what approval you need. We're happy to talk it through when we quote.

Common questions

How thick should a shed slab be?

It depends on the shed size, what's going in it and the ground. Your shed supplier or engineer will usually specify it, and we'll pour to that.

Can you pour on a sloping block?

Yes. We regularly cut and fill sloping Coast sites, and we can build up with formwork or retaining where needed.

Do you organise the steel and inspections?

We supply and place the reinforcement to the design, and we work with your builder or certifier to book any pre-pour inspections.

Pricing

What affects the cost of a concrete slab?

Slabs range from a small shed pad to a full house slab. The price depends on:

  • Size and thickness. The area and depth of the slab, plus any thickened edges or footings.
  • Engineering. House, granny flat and extension slabs are poured to an engineer's design.
  • Site prep. Cut and fill, levelling and compaction, especially on sloping blocks.
  • Reinforcement. Mesh, bar chairs, vapour barrier and termite protection where required.
  • Access and pumping. Backyard slabs often need a concrete pump.
  • Finish. Steel trowel, broom or exposed finish, and sealing.

Every job is priced after a free on-site visit, and you get a clear written quote before any work starts.
