Sandstone-coloured stencilled concrete driveway with a brick pattern

Decorative concrete gives you the look of brick, stone or tile with the strength and price of concrete. We've been doing stencilled, stamped and spray-on finishes on the Central Coast for years, on driveways, paths, patios and pool surrounds.

Stencilled concrete

A pattern stencil is laid on fresh concrete, and a coloured cement-based hardener is applied over the top. When the stencil is lifted, it leaves a grout-line pattern like brick, cobblestone or tile. The colour hardener also adds surface strength.

Stamped concrete

Stamped (or imprinted) concrete is pressed with textured mats while it's still workable. It gives the look and feel of natural stone, slate or timber, with depth you can see and feel underfoot.

Spray-on concrete resurfacing

Got a cracked, stained or faded driveway that's still structurally sound? Spray-on resurfacing applies a new decorative layer over the old concrete, so you get a fresh, slip-resistant finish without ripping out and re-pouring. See the results on our before and after page.

Choose your colours

We have more than 35 colours, from sandstone and terracotta to charcoal and slate greys. See the colour range.

Keeping it looking good

Decorative finishes are sealed to protect the colour and make cleaning easier. Over time, a clean and reseal brings them back to looking new.

Common questions

Is decorative concrete slippery?

Not when it's done right. We can add a non-slip additive to the sealer, and we recommend it around pools and on sloping driveways.

Is spray-on as good as new concrete?

It's a surface finish, so it relies on the concrete underneath being sound. If your slab is badly cracked or sinking, we'll tell you and quote a replacement instead.

Stencilled or stamped: which is better?

Stencilled gives crisp, flat patterns like brick or tile. Stamped gives a deeper natural-stone texture. We can show you examples of both when we quote.

Pricing

What affects the cost of stencilled, stamped or spray-on concrete?

Decorative finishes cost more than plain concrete, but resurfacing can be cheaper than replacing. The price depends on:

  • New pour or resurface. Stencilled and stamped finishes go on new concrete. Spray-on can go over sound existing concrete.
  • Condition of existing concrete. Cracks and drummy areas need repairs before resurfacing.
  • Pattern and colours. More complex patterns and extra colours take longer.
  • Area. The size of the driveway, path or patio.
  • Sealing. Decorative concrete needs a quality sealer to protect the colour.
  • Access. How easy it is to get our equipment and materials to the job.

Every job is priced after a free on-site visit, and you get a clear written quote before any work starts.
